Power Designer 16 Excel export from model's "List of tables" takes too long

Exporting to Excel from a model's "List of tables" takes much too long. Also, the confirmation dialog box asking if I want to open the export quite often gets "hidden", meaning that if I change focus from PD to another application, for instance writing this enhancement request, when I go back to PD the dialog is not on top, but I can't do anything with the PD window because it is waiting for my reply. Pressing ALT+Tab several times usually gets the focus on the dialog box, but I have had to use Task Manager to locate it sometimes.

Thought I would add an update to this.  SAP / Sybase has still not fixed this export to Excel problem.  I guess they don't consider it a "bug"; just a horrible inconvenience to its users who pay $Thou$and$ of dollar$ to them for the privilege of using their software.

 It has been 1 hour since I started an export of a column list to Excel.  I hoped that V 16.5 would have fixed this, but it hasn't.  I used the "work around" method of clicking the little box in the upper left corner to select all the content and the copy it and then paste it in an empty Excel workbook; but that didn't capture all the rows in the long list.

While I like PowerDesigner most of the time, their lack of support for bug fixes and enhancements can drive one crazy!

Why do all PowerDesigner EBF patch installations cause all my data models to lose settings?

Every time I install an EBF patch, why do I lose my display preferences and many other model-specific settings in Model Options? This is getting to be very annoying and makes me reluctant to install EBF patches.

Requirements Document View Comment column does not display multi-line text or word wrap.

While there is an elipse button to open an editor window, which will allow multiple lines of text, only the first line shows up in the View Comment column. Long lines are not wrapped.

Even in the editor window,, long lines are not word wrapped.

PowerDesigner 16 LDM Display Preferences Entity Attributes all or none bug

1. Right click blank area in LDM diagram.
2. Select Display Preferences
3. Select Entity in Category under General Settings
4. Click radio button for Primary attributes.
5. Click OK
6. Click "All symbols"
7. Click OK
All attributes are still displayed.
Repeat 1 - 3
Entity/Content/Attributes shows "All attributes" radio button selected.
8. Click Attributes check box to not display any attributes
Repeat 5 -7
No attributes displayed.
Repeat 1-3
9. Click Attributes check box to display attributes
Repeat 4 - 7
All attributes are displayed.

This is an "all or none" action; PD is ignoring anything except "All Attributes".

PowerDesigner 16 Generate Report doesn't print selected report.

Issue:  I want to generate an HTML report I have previously developed in PowerDesigner.
Steps:
With the PDM model opened and the focus in a diagram for that model:

1. Click Report
2. Click Generate Report
3. Click "Mode report" radio button if it is not already selected.
4. Highlight desired report in list of reports available in the model
5. Click "Generate HTML" radio button in "Generation action" section if it is not already selected.
6. Choose file's target folder and file name.
7. Click OK

Result: Unless the selected report in step 4 is the first report in the list (the one highlighted when the dialog window opens), the selected report is not generated.  The first report in the list is generated using the file name of the selected report.

Issue: I want to print a multiple page diagram from a Physical Data Model.  I open the model, open the diagram, and press Ctrl+A to select all the symbols in the diagram.  From File menu, I select "Print Selection".  In the "Print Diagram" dialog window, I choose a destination printer, which is not my default printer, choose the paper size and other settings and click "OK".  The print job goes to my default printer which doesn't have the paper size I need.

Resolution: Change my default printer to the desired printer for this job and, when done, change my default printer back to normal

Secondary Issue:  PowerDesigner does not recognize change to default printer until after it is closed and reopened.
